Family drove me to YVR. I was expecting them to drop me off, but they came to eat breakfast with me instead. I kinda got mad at them because I wanted to see my girl, who was waiting for me at the airport as well at the time. Finally my family got the picture, and understood I needed one on one time with my girl, and left. Saw my girl after they left, and it was quite sad. I didn't cry, but would have if she broke down. Went to the wrong entrance, so we walked to the other one. The line ups were actually very long, and I was worried that I'd be late for my flight, but thank goodness boarding was delayed by 20 mins, which saved my ass. My girl waited for me until we could no longer see each other in the line up. I really appreciated that. I appreciate everything she does.
On the plane I was pretty depressed. Fought not to cry. Things only got worse when I saw her reply on Whatsapp. 25 hour journey time total. Asiana flight was pretty good. Was asleep for 9 hours out of the 14 hour flight. Only woke up to pee and eat. They had two meals; bibimbap and some random fish thing.
Entertainment was good too. Learned some Korean, and watched half of Divergent. Everything was touch screen, which was cool. Planes sure have gotten fancier since the last time I rode on a plane.
Friend picked me up at Incheon, brought me to Gimpo airport by a 30 minute train ride, and we went to Lotte Mall and had some dinner there. It was decent, but kind of expensive.

After that, I was planning to sleep at Gimpo overnight, but Gimpo airport closes at midnight, so they kicked me out onto the streets. I tried to go to Lotte Hotel across the street, but they said I had to pay $187 for a night (5 hours). I'm like, helllll no, I ain't gonna pay that much just to kill 5 hours! So I went to a park that was like 3 minutes walk from the airport. There was a washroom there. I just went into the washroom, closed the main washroom door, and locked myself up in a wheelchair stall. It was very warm inside, but I felt safe, and I got like 3 hours of sleep. Next morning, brushed my teeth, and walked to the airport. I didn't die, and I was thankful.
July 30th
Arrived at Jeju Island from Gimpo Airport at 7:25 AM. Met up with a dude from Arkansas, and we had breakfast. Met up with more fellow TaLK peeps. Had to wait for the bus that came at 1pm, so me and Han Jin (Mr. Arkansas), went by taxi to the outside world to look for a travel adapter. I thought I lost mine, and Han Jin doesn't have one for his Macbook. (GG) We went to Lotte Mart, E Mart, and Hi Mart, but we couldn't find em. All there were were adapters that converted the wall voltage to usb voltage, and only had usb outlets. Useless for a laptop charger, because it doesn't use usb outlet, only power plug outlet. Rode bus to our place.
Our place had Samsung door handles. I thought I was in heaven.
Our room. Two beds, two desks, and a bathroom. Room mate hasn't arrived yet, so right now I get the whole room to myself. Of course I picked the better one... which in my opinion is the one with the less stained mattress. Samsung thermostat, which was all in Korean so I don't know how to set it. At least it's cold. That's all it matters anyway.
This is the campus on Jeju we'll be staying at. There is a cafeteria and a lecture hall, and the lecture hall is about 20 minutes walking from our dorms in the picture to the right
Food was alright. The dinner was rich with sauce, no fish. Lol wow I typed that sentence in my sleep I think, because I woke up, and my hands were on the keyboard, and I was dreaming about something with no fish, just sauce. What I meant to say was the dinner was at a cafeteria. It felt like we were in high school.
Also some other restaurants near our place, so I tried cold noodle. Met some more people.
And now I'm in my room creating this blog and typing up a letter to my girl. I hope I can still call her my girl...and not a girl that used to be mine. We'll see. Oh yeah, last one is kimchi fried rice, and a friend ordered it.
